Ananti at Gangnam ★★★★★

it was exactly as pictured. beautiful details, well thought out design. every nook and cranny was insta-worthy.

Location not super convenient to many sites, but they did offer a free car service to take you within 3km. that was a nice perk.

I love the loft set up, spacious room and friendly staff. All the products (soap etc) for the guests were eco-friendly and high end. I was traveling for work, but I wanted to have a family visitor during my stay, so it was perfect to have a separate ‘living room’ space downstairs and my bedroom would be private. Unfortunately i did not have any time to try any facility or restaurant, although I’ve heard great things.

The ‘living room’ area was a bit cold, perhaps bc warm air rises to the top. I thought the bathroom suite (with tub, shower, closet space) should also come with a toilet.

Room size, cleanliness, amenities and pools

Bed was hard and pillows were not support, i found them to be uncomfortable. Also, was hard to control room temperature with thermostat.

We stayed on level T Room was excellent, clean, modern and decor lovely. Gym was exceptional, as was the pool when it was not overcrowded.

our room was too warm and the air con could not be adjusted. They did give us fans that helped. To gain access to hotel lobby is unusual as u have to go down two levels. Need to give guests more info on entry.

Genuinely one of the best hotels I've stayed at for the price. Ananti at Gangnam is more expensive during the weekends, but quite a steal during the weekdays for all the amenities the hotel offers. It boasts gorgeous interior design, with one of the nicest gyms I've seen in a hotel. The room was large, with a bi-level loft, to make any traveler feel at home. From bathroom (with bath tub) to the chic living room, I wanted to stay indoors rather than go outside. The upstairs bedroom was lovely, and I had a pleasant night's rest. Staff were attentive throughout my stay, from taking my bags and promptly storing them in my room to check out where I left my luggage in storage until I was ready to return to the airport. I will definitely be coming back.

Not a dislike, but if you do need to use the toilets in the middle of the night, I'd be mindful that you're trekking down stairs to do your business before returning to bed.

The Design of the Hotel is exceptional! Nicest gym I have ever been!

Sometimes the design comes with a price. There is clearly a function follows form approach regarding orientation, entrances, paths to cafes or pools.

The apartment is truly an amazing design. The front desk staff were wonderful. One of them went above and beyond and let me make a local phone call from his mobile phone. I wish I wrote down his name to commend him.

This was the stay I was looking forward the most during my 2 weeks in Seoul and it was the one that I disliked the most. I booked this as a special treat for myself for 1 night to relax mid trip. Not a useful location but I take responsibility for that not researching that enough. Pools and gym - firstly, there were weird times that you had to adhere to. See photo attached. The facilities would close intermittently. I picked a time slot and tried to give it a go. Firstly I went to the upstairs pool but I couldn’t get in as there was no one at the desk to let me in. Then I go to the downstairs pool. The desk there gave me a wrist band to wear in the pool. Annoying but fine. They asked if I was swimming and I said yes. I then started to walk up to the gym when I get yelled at ‘where are you going?!’. I answered, ‘to check out the gym?’ and kept going. I was then followed through an empty gym by this employee. It felt very strange. Then I come back down to the gym and get in the pool with my hair tied up. A male employee comes into the pool area and screams at me (yes really he yelled) that I had to get out because I didn’t have a swimming cap on. I showed him that my hair was tied up and I wasn’t putting my head under. He told me to get out of the pool. I then go back upstairs and again there was no one to let me in and my key wouldn’t open the door. So I head to the lobby in my swimsuit and bathrobe which I found really embarrassing. I was in tears purely out of frustration that I was spending all this money to have a relaxing stay, but I felt like everywhere I went I just got in trouble for not doing something right. I would normally put this down to a language barrier, but these rules are really unusual for a luxury hotel and also there was definite aggression. After a short discussion with front office (who were lovely) I gave up and went to my room to try a bath instead.

fantastic design and location.

There are lots of rules around the pool use and you can only go once per day at set times. A bit annoying if you are travelling with a family and wanting to relax on your holiday. Also, a charge to the sauna. Room heating was unbearably hot and hard to turn down.

great design and internal decorations. the cabin was spacious with comfortable beddings and sofa.

the quality of service doesn’t add up for a 5 star hotel. very few ‘free’ amenities if staying for multiple nights. ice and additional bottled water are not free here. staff doesn’t communicate effectively in English

really like design for building and furniture and every staffs I talked were so kind and warm

the dust (especially under table top of big coffee table) bothers me and quality, kind, amount of "free" amenities were not commensurate with the price

the cabins were great, the indoor swimming pool was amazing. Some staff were really helpful. the location was very convenient with lots of eateries nearby. it was also a newly built hotel so was incredibly clean and comfortable.

Limited in room dining options meant we had to eat out or takeaway food every night; the rules regarding no children for night restaurant dining, kid free swimming sessions etc were a bit restrictive for families travelling with young kids. Also I had to buy my own steam iron as they didn’t have a single iron in the hotel; makes it difficult for anyone staying for a business/conference trip to iron their shirts.
